Open Gemini and try each of the three roles:
  1. Researcher: Ask Gemini to find information on a topic relevant to your work. Use the starter prompt from the Researcher card.
  2. Writer: Ask Gemini to draft a short email or document. Specify the tone and length.
  3. Analyst: Upload a document or paste some data, then ask Gemini to identify key insights.
Notice how the role changes the style and focus of the response.
Access Gemini from within a Google Workspace app:
  1. Open Gmail and click the Gemini icon. Ask it to summarise your unread emails or find a specific message.
  2. Open a Google Doc and use the side panel to generate a paragraph on a topic of your choice.
  3. Open Google Sheets and ask Gemini to create a simple tracker or table.
Observe how Gemini works directly within the app without needing to switch contexts.
Test the different ways to provide Gemini with context:
  1. Upload a file: Click the ”+” icon and upload a PDF or document. Ask Gemini a question about its contents.
  2. Add from Drive: Connect a file from your Google Drive and reference it in your prompt.
  3. Use voice (mobile): Tap the microphone and speak your prompt instead of typing.
Compare the results when Gemini has specific context versus a general question.
